Internationals - Wednesday and Thursday latest
10 November 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
Neither our Dutch or Belgian contingent were able to claim the international bragging rights as honours ended even between the two rival countries in Amsterdam on Wednesday night.
Vincent Janssen started for the hosts but was forced off after just 25 minutes following a collision with Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet while Jan Vertonghen played the full game at the back for the Red Devils.
Jan was the player penalised for a foul in the box which led to Davy Klaassen putting the home side in front from the penalty spot seven minutes before the break but Yannick Carrasco restored parity eight minutes from time as the friendly clash ended 1-1.
Goalkeeper Michel Vorm was on the bench for the Netherlands.

Earlier on Wednesday, full-back Kyle Walker-Peters played 90 minutes for England Under-20s as they made a winning start to their Continental Cup campaign in South Korea by thrashing Nigeria 8-1.
Midfielder Josh Onomah remained on the bench for that game, but started and played 78 minutes this morning (Thursday, November 10) as the Young Lions lost their second game at the tournament, going down 2-1 to the host nation. Kyle was an unused substitute in that game.
