Internationals - Wednesday action, Thursday preview

24 March 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Marcus Edwards struck twice as England Under-18s toppled Austria 3-2 on Wednesday night.

Austria went ahead twice but the Academy playmaker - seven goals in 18 appearances for our Under-18s this term - levelled on both occasions in the 17th and 48th minute.

That paved the way for Manchester City's Lukas Nmecha to fire home the winner 13 minutes from time in the friendly at Wiener Neustadt.

Alfie Whiteman also completed the full match in goal for the Young Lions.

Development squad midfielder Filip Lesniak started as Slovakia Under-21s completed a comfortable 4-0 win in an International Challenge Trophy match against Estonia.
