12 November 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Youngsters Harry Winks and Cameron Carter-Vickers were on duty for their respective countries as the international action got underway for our players on Wednesday (November 11).
Midfielder Harry started for England Under-20s in the first of two friendlies in France, but was on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline. The Young Lions meet Les Bleus again on Saturday.
Meanwhile, centre-half Cameron Carter-Vickers started for the US Under-23 side in a friendly in Brazil, but saw his side go down 2-1. The States will also get a second bite of the cherry as they meet the same opponents on Sunday.
Academy regulars Chris Paul and Charlie Owens had been due to take on Norway with Northern Ireland Under-19s in a European qualifying match yesterday, but a waterlogged pitch forced the rescheduling of the contest.
Heung-Min Son is in the South Korea squad for a home clash with Myanmar in qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup today (Thursday, November 12), kick-off 11am UK time.
In addition, young midfielder Josh Onomah and full-back Kyle Walker-Peters are in the England Under-19s squad for a friendly in the Netherlands.
Elsewhere, in the early hours of Friday morning, Erik Lamela’s Argentina host Brazil, also in a World Cup qualifier.
