Fri 14 November 2014, 10:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard helped England Under-21s to victory against Portugal in Thursday night’s friendly at Burnley’s Turf Moor.

Tom, currently on loan with Swansea City, played the full 90 minutes in the middle while Alex, on loan at Brentford, went on as a substitute in the 73rd minute as the Young Lions won 3-1.

Harry Kane maintained a watching brief from the bench.

The international action continues this evening, with a host of our players set to be in action.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Togo will be looking to build on back-to-back wins in last month’s international break as they continue their African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a home match against Guinea, while Hugo Lloris and France host Albania in a friendly.

In Euro 2016 qualification, Vlad Chiriches is with Romania for their home test against Northern Ireland while Christian Eriksen’s Denmark visit Serbia.

Young midfielder Harry Winks, meanwhile, will be hoping for further game time with England Under-19s as they host Italy.
