Heung-Min Son stepped off the bench to set up two goals for South Korea in their 4-0 home victory over Myanmar in 2018 World Cup qualifying on Thursday (November 12).
The 23-year-old went on as a 63rd-minute substitute with his nation 2-0 up and sent in a free-kick for JANG Hyunsoo to add a third goal, before playing in NAM Taehee to complete the scoring.
Erik Lamela’s Argentina had also been due to take part in a World Cup qualifier at home to Brazil in the early hours of this morning (Friday, November 13) but torrential rain in Buenos Aires saw the game postponed less than 60 minutes before kick-off. The match has now been moved back 24 hours.
Elsewhere on Thursday, Josh Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters completed 90 minutes for England Under-19s as they came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 away to the Netherlands in a friendly.
Also, young midfielder Charlie Owens put in a full shift for Northern Ireland Under-19s as they won 2-1 away to Norway in a European qualifier postponed from Wednesday. Defender Chris Paul was an unused substitute for the visitors. Northern Ireland will now take on Russia on Saturday, November 14.
It’s set to be a busy night of international friendly action for teams across Europe.

Elsewhere today (Friday, November 13), in 2018 World Cup qualifying, Clinton Njie is in the Cameroon squad for an away trip to Niger, while on-loan DeAndre Yedlin is with the US national team for a home match against St Vincent & the Grenadines. As mentioned above, Erik Lamela’s Argentina and Brazil will try again at midnight tonight after their match in the early hours of this morning was postponed due to heavy rainfall.
In addition, Milos Veljkovic is with Serbia Under-21s for a European qualifier at home to Italy.
