Internationals - Saturday action, Sunday preview
27 March 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
It was an action-packed Saturday for our players on England duty, but there was also a run-out for Kevin Wimmer with Austria.
The centre-back came on as a half-time substitute for his nation as they played host to Albania in a friendly, winning his third senior international cap in doing so.
Kevin also had cause for celebration at the final whistle, with Austria claiming a 2-1 win.
As previously reported , Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane and Danny Rose all played 90 minutes for England as they came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 away to Germany in a friendly.
Danny made his senior Three Lions debut and Harry scored the first of England's goals on the night, but it was Eric who stole the headlines as he thumped home a stoppage time header to win the game for Roy Hodgson's side.
Dele had gone close to winning it a few moments earlier but blazed over after being set up by second goalscorer Jamie Vardy of Leicester City.
Kyle Walker was an unused substitute for England at the Berlin Olympiastadion.
Elsewhere, Josh Onomah was introduced as a 74th-minute substitute while Kyle Walker-Peters remained on the bench for England Under-19s as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Greece in the second of their three European Championship elite round qualifiers in Spain.
England must now beat Spain on Tuesday night to progress to this summer's finals in Germany.
In the same competition, midfielder Charlie Owens was an unused substitute for Northern Ireland Under-19s as they lost 1-0 away to the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Japhet Tanganga played the full match and fellow defender Jaden Brown came on for the remaining 16 minutes as England Under-17s beat Finland 1-0 in their second European Championship elite round qualifier of the week. Samuel Shashoua was an unused substitute.
