Internationals - Saturday action, Sunday preview

Sun 16 November 2014, 09:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Emmanuel Adebayor was on target but it was little consolation as Togo were beaten by Guinea in African Cup of Nations qualifying on Saturday.

Ade slotted home from the penalty spot but Togo were beaten 4-1 as Seydouba Soumah stole the show with a hat-trick for Guinea.

The result means only two points separate the teams in the group - Ghana lead with eight points, Uganda and Guinea each have seven, and Togo have six. The final round of matches takes place on Wednesday evening, with Ghana hosting Togo and Guinea hosting Uganda.

Kenny McEvoy provided two clear chances from the wing as he played the first half of the Republic of Ireland Under-21s friendly against the USA but they weren't taken as his side lost 1-0 in Marbella.

Kyle Walker-Peters started and completed 90 minutes as England Under-18s came from 1-0 down to beat Poland 3-1 in a friendly in Gdansk. Josh Onomah came off the bench with 79 minutes on the clock.

Filip Lesniak was a 67th-minute substitute as Slovakia Under-19s completed their UEFA U19 qualifying round with three wins in three with a 3-0 success against Hungary.
