Jan Vertonghen helped Belgium secure a point in a tricky away test against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Euro 2016 qualifying on Monday night.

That test was all the more difficult once Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko fired the home side into the lead in the 28th minute of the Group B encounter at the Stadion Bilino Polje in Zenica.

However, Radja Nainggolan of Roma levelled it up on 51 minutes and that's how it stayed.

Jan played the full 90 minutes with Spurs team-mates Nacer Chadli and Mousa Dembele remaining on the bench.

Ben Davies was also an unused substitute as Wales held on for a key 2-1 victory against Cyprus to top Group B with seven points from nine. They travel to Belgium next on November 16.

Elsewhere, it was a successful night for Dominic Ball on England Under-20 duty.

The central defender and Development squad member played 68 minutes as the Young Lions drew 1-1 with Turkey to secure the point they needed to win the Four Nation Tournament held in Holland.

Academy defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, 17, played 61 minutes for USA Under-23s in a 3-0 friendly loss against Brazil in the early hours of Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Development squad midfielder Harry Winks played the full 90 as England Under-19s hammered Luxembourg 8-0 in European qualifying on Sunday.

England now face Belgium in the final match of three with the top two nations of four - Belarus the fourth country involved - going through to the Elite qualifying round.
