Milos Veljkovic helped Serbia reach the Final of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand this morning (Wednesday).
Our young defender once again completed the full game as his nation beat Mali 2-1 after extra time in their semi-final in Auckland.
Milos and Serbia now face a mouth-watering Final showdown with Brazil – who thrashed Senegal 5-0 in the other semi-final – on Saturday, June 20, kick-off 6am UK time (5pm local time in Auckland).
Elsewhere, Erik Lamela’s Argentina secured their first win at the Copa America overnight. Gerardo Martino’s men saw off Uruguay 1-0 in their second match in Group B, with Erik remaining an unused substitute.
The next international match involving our players takes place tomorrow (Thursday, June 18) with Tom Carroll, Harry Kane and Alex Pritchard in the England Under-21s squad for their European Championship finals Group B opener against Portugal in Czech Republic, kick-off 7.45pm UK time (8.45pm local time).
