Internationals - Harry's goal

Thu 13 November 2014, 11:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane hopes to take his club form onto the international stage this week.

The striker is part of the England Under-21 squad with Spurs team-mates Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard for friendlies against Portugal at Burnley tonight (Thursday, 7.45pm) and France in Brest on Monday.

Harry hit double-figures for us this season with his dramatic late winner at Villa, earning his first Premier League start of the campaign against Stoke on Sunday.

“It’s a chance to get more game-time under my belt and hopefully to score some more goals,” said Harry, who has six goals in his nine Under-21 caps.

“I’m confident at the moment and confident that I can continue scoring goals. I hope to play well and get on the scoresheet.

“We’re up against Portugal and France, two tough opponents and we’re looking forward to it.

“We’re now preparing for the Euro finals (in Czech Republic next summer) and we’ll see how we get on against two good teams.”
