Internationals - disappointment for DeAndre
23 July 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
DeAndre Yedlin and the US national team suffered semi-final heartbreak at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday night (July 22).
Jurgen Klinsmann’s side found themselves two goals down to Jamaica at half-time in their last four clash and, despite Michael Bradley pulling one back for the States, they couldn’t find a way back into the game and slumped to a 2-1 defeat.
DeAndre entered the fray as a 78th-minute substitute for Alejandro Bedoya, meaning he has featured in all but one of the States’ matches at the tournament to date.
The US now move on to the third place play-off, where they’ll face a Panama side that lost their semi-final 2-1 to Mexico overnight. The match takes place on Saturday, July 25, with kick-off at 9pm UK time.
