Internationals - DeAndre sets up two in States' victory

DeAndre Yedlin played a key role in the US national team’s first two goals as Jurgen Klinsmann’s side saw off Guatemala 4-0 in a friendly match in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday night (July 3).
The speedy right-sider, who turns 22 on Thursday, sent in a cross which was accidentally nodded past his own goalkeeper by Guatemala’s Carlos Castrillo to give the States a 19th-minute lead.
DeAndre then played a short pass to Timmy Chandler from wide on the right, with the latter firing low into the net from 25 yards out to make it 2-0 shortly before the hour mark.
The States scored twice more in the closing stages, with DeAndre completing the full match.
The fixture represented the final warm-up match for the US ahead of their defence of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. They open their campaign against Honduras this week in Frisco, Texas, with kick-off at 2.30am UK time on Wednesday, July 8.
Elsewhere on the international scene, Erik Lamela’s Argentina take on host nation Chile in the Copa America Final tonight (Saturday, July 4) with kick-off scheduled for 9pm UK time.
