International round-up - Tuesday action

We've 14 players in international action on tonight, including nine on World Cup qualifying duty.

The evening kicks-off at 5pm with Steven Caulker, Danny Rose, Adam Smith and Andros Townsend looking to defend a 1-0 lead from the first leg of their European Under-21 Championship play-off in Serbia.

There are some fascinating fixtures involving our players in World Cup qualifiers.

Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Kyle Walker are with the England squad in Warsaw for a Group H encounter against Poland at the National Stadium.

Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen will look to build on their fine win in Serbia on Friday when Belgium take on Scotland in Group A at the King Baudouin Stadium, Brussells.

Staying in Group A, Gareth Bale will look for a repeat of his magnificent performance for Wales against Scotland on Friday when he comes up against a few of his former Spurs team-mates - Luka Modric, Vedran Corluka, Niko Kranjcar and Stipe Pletikosa - in Croatia.

The match of the night is arguably double European and World champions Spain against France in Madrid in Group I - where Hugo Lloris will look to keep the likes of Torres, Iniesta, Xavi, Villa and Silva at bay at Atletico Madrid's Vicente Calderon Stadium.

Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a late winner for Iceland against Albania on Friday and now has a first versus second clash in Group E against leaders Switzerland in Reykjavik.

Finally in World Cup qualifying action and further afield, Clint Dempsey and the USA need a draw against Guatemala to progress to the final round of qualifying in the North, Central America and Caribbean zone.

This is the final round of matches in round three of qualifying and USA and Guatemala are level on 10 points, three ahead of Jamaica, ahead of meeting in Kansas.

Six teams - the top two teams from three groups in round three - go into a round-robin format in round four with the top three qualifying for the finals in Brazil and the fourth-placed team into the intercontinental play-off.

Away from competitive action, Sandro is with the Brazil squad for a friendly against Japan in Poland.
