Youngsters David Button and Dean Parrett joined Jamie O'Hara on England duty on Tuesday night.

Youngsters David Button and Dean Parrett joined Jamie O'Hara on England duty on Tuesday night.

While Jamie earned his first cap for the Under-21s in a 0-0 draw against Poland at Wolves, goalkeeper David played the first half for the Under-19s against Russia and midfielder Dean put in a full shift for the Under-17s in the first match of their European U17 Championship Elite qualifying stage in Israel.

David kept a clean sheet in the first half as the Under-19s ran out eventual 3-1 winners in a friendly against Russia at MK Dons.

Dean had a couple of chances as England agonisingly conceded a late equaliser to France in a 1-1 draw in Tel Aviv. England next play Russia on Thursday before completing the Elite group against Israel on Sunday. The group winners only progress to the finals in Turkey in May.

Meanwhile, neither Cian Hughton or David Hutton featured in the first of the Republic of Ireland Under-19s' double-header against France. The visitors won 3-0 at Waterford last night, the second game follows in Cork on Thursday night.

Young-Pyo Lee is in the South Korea squad as they meet North Korea in a World Cup qualifying match in Shanghai, China, on Wednesday night. It will be the third time that the Koreas cross swords with each other in a FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, and it was the South Koreans who emerged victorious on both occasions - 1-0 in 1989 and 3-0 in 1993. The pair have started with a win each in Group Three of Asian qualifying.

Back in European U21 qualifying, Chris Gunter is in the Wales squad looking to build on their position at the head of Group 10 at struggling Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

It's a busy night of international friendly action on Wednesday. Jonathan Woodgate and Paul Robinson are in the England squad travelling to Paris to face France while Alan Hutton is in the Scotland squad to face Croatia.

Didier Zokora's Ivory Coast take on Tunisia and two of our players could face each other as Dimitar Berbatov's Bulgaria face Teemu Tainio's Finland in the Vassil Stadium, Sofia.

It's the same situation in an Under-21 friendly as Younes Kaboul's France tackle Tomas Pekhart's Czech Republic in a friendly at the Stade Robert Diochon in Rouen.
