International goals for Nacer and Harry

Nacer Chadli and Harry Kane were on target on a busy night of international action on Friday.

Nacer joined Jan Vertonghen in the Belgium starting line-up for their home Euro 2016 qualifier against Andorra and the two players combined for the Red Devils’ third goal of an eventual 6-0 win.

Jan’s cross was inch-perfect for Nacer to hit the target from close range, 37 minutes into a game their nation dominated for large spells. Mousa Dembele was an unused substitute for Belgium.

Harry Kane, meanwhile, came to the rescue for England Under-21s after they fell behind to an early goal in the first leg of their European Under-21 Championship qualifying play-off against Croatia at Wolves’ Molineux Stadium.

Having started the game along with midfielder Tom Carroll, Harry showed his penalty box prowess to get on the end of Saido Berahino’s 57th minute cross and head home an equaliser for the Young Lions. Berahino secured a 2-1 win with a late penalty.

Eric Dier went on as a half-time substitute at right-back, while Harry and Tom completed the full 90 minutes.

Elsewhere, Ben Davies played the full game for Wales as they held Bosnia-Herzegovina to a goalless draw in Euro 2016 qualifying, while it was the same outcome for fellow defender Milos Veljkovic and Serbia Under-21s in their European Under-21 Championship qualifying play-off against Spain.

Midfielder Harry Winks, meanwhile, went on as a 73rd minute substitute to help England Under-19s see out a comfortable 3-0 win against Belarus, also in a Euro qualifier.
