Injuries the only worry for Jacques
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Jacques Santini insisted he wasn't worried about losing Saturday's friendly against FC Trollhatan.
Our new Head Coach opted to go with the younger players again in the third and final friendly of our Swedish training camp having brought out the big guns for Thursday's clash against Danish champions FC Copenhagen.
Indeed, Jacques was more concerned with injuries to Lee Barnard and Jamie Slabber.
Both strikers were forced off - Lee went straight to hospital with what has been confirmed as a broken collar bone while Jamie suffered a shoulder injury.
Goalkeeper Marton Fulop made his debut and Sean Davis put in a 55-minute stint in midfield before being replaced by another debutant, Pedro Mendes.
Marcel McKie, Stephen Kelly, Mark Hughes, Dean Marney, Rohan Ricketts, Lee Barnard and Mark Yeates all started.
Despite creating a few late chances, FC Trollhattan nicked the game 1-0 with a breakaway goal in the first half.
"This is only the third game in our preparations," said Jacques. "We decided to play many youngsters so we can have a look at them.
"The players have trained hard for nine or 10 days and I thought they looked tired in the morning. That is normal.
"I thought Trollhattan were a good side but it would have been better if they didn't play as hard. I don't know if that's how they play in the championship here in Sweden but they played very, very hard.
"They deserved to win because we didn't play a good match but, as I said, we are tired and played a younger team. I am not worried about the result."
