India Spurs round off season in style

25 May 2017|Tottenham Hotspur

Our India Spurs official Supporters’ Club have once again proven themselves as a credit to the Club and Tottenham Hotspur fans across the world, staging an end-of-season football tournament with a difference.

The group has had a long-standing relationship with Special Olympics, a charity that provides sporting opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities across the world, after assisting coaches from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation on their delivery of a joint project in India in 2014.

India Spurs took their support of the movement to new levels this month, however, when they staged the Unified Football Cup in New Delhi.

It involved four teams of supporters representing cities across India, with each team also featuring players with intellectual disabilities, selected by Special Olympics – making for a fully inclusive football experience to round off a memorable season.
