'Impact goal' delights Nacer

Mon 03 November 2014, 14:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Nacer Chadli wasn't thinking about his fifth goal in the Premier League this season at Villa – just the three points.

The midfielder volleyed home our equaliser just six minutes from time at Villa Park and that provided the platform for Harry Kane to hit the winner from a free-kick in the final minute.

"I'm pleased to score a goal that made an impact and after that, Harry scored the vital goal and I'm delighted we won the game," said Nacer.

"We had a lot of chances for 1-0 but they scored, it’s a shame but we have to be sharper in every part of the pitch and we did that in the last 30 minutes.

"I had a feeling throughout that we could score a goal at any time and at 1-1 we had the belief."

Nacer's goal leaves him joint-sixth in the Premier League goalscoring chart. "I’m happy to score the goals but I just want to play well and help the club. To take three points every week for me is most important."
