'I'm setting the bar higher' - Dele
13 February 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
Dele Alli has taken the Premier League by storm this season.
And as the 19-year-old reflects on his recent form and looks ahead to City on Sunday, it's clear he's just at the start.
Dele has been involved in 11 goals in his last 14 Premier League appearances.
That includes his wonder goal to help us to a 3-1 win at Palace in January, two sublime finishes from Toby Alderweireld passes at Everton and West Brom and setting up the only goal of the game against Watford last week.
Add a 'worldy' goal for England against France at Wembley and it's no wonder Dele's is the name on football pundits' lips at the moment.
As down to earth as the day he signed in February last year, Dele takes it all in his stride. He's only interested in improving, as he told us after training on Friday...
Tell us about your form - six goals, five assists in your last 14 appearances in the Premier League...
Dele: "I like to get forward so goals and assists will come with that, but I’m just happy to be playing and happy to be a part of a team that is doing so well. To train with these players every day is really helping me improve. I’m still 19 and have got a lot to learn so I’m not getting carried away, I’m just looking to continue improving."
Where do you see yourself at the moment?
Dele: "There is still a lot to do, still a lot to learn. Okay, maybe the season has gone better than I expected but I’m looking forward and setting the bar higher and higher and trying to achieve as much as I can."

We travel to City on Sunday. How are we approaching the game?
Dele: "We want to win every game, no matter who it’s against. We know who we’re coming up against and we know how good they are. We’ve done a lot of work on it and we’re up for it, as we are for every game.
"It’s been really good this season how we’ve concentrated on a game at a time and not treated any game any differently. We’re in really good form so we’ll go there, focus on ourselves and try to use our strengths to get the win. We’re in great form but we’re not getting too carried away. We’ll just keep playing our own game."
How important was the 4-1 win against City at the Lane back in September?
Dele: "For confidence, it was massive. Everyone knows about City and for us to go out and play as we did that day really brought us all together. You could see how much it meant to everyone with how we were all celebrating the goals with the fans. It was a great day for everyone at the club."
