As the plaudits continue to flood in for Christian Eriksen, the Danish playmaker calmly declared: "I'm just doing my thing."
Christian was outstanding again in Monday's 5-1 win against Sunderland.
Having gone 1-0 down, Christian provided the assists for Emmanuel Adebayor's equaliser and Harry Kane's first Premier League goal to put us 2-1 up.
He then put us firmly in the driving seat with a sweet strike from 25 yards for 3-1. Ade scored again and Gylfi Sigurdsson converted from Christian's corner for the icing on the cake in injury time.
Christian polled 77 per cent of over 7,500 votes cast by Spurs fans for our Man of the Match via our Match Centre, Twitter and Facebook and the media was left purring over his performance.
Speaking to Spurs TV afterwards, Christian was down-to-earth as ever. "I’m just doing my thing," he said. "It could have been more, but still it’s pretty nice to have a 5-1 win at home.
"I’m just lucky to be able to deliver something for the team. We knew how much space we had, we just had to use it and luckily we did that later in the game.
"We knew we had to bounce back from last week (at Liverpool), we did that and hopefully we'll continue at West Brom."
Christian's goal took him to nine in 31 appearances (24 starts) in all competitions and six in 20 (18 starts) in the Premier League. He also has six assists in the Premier League.
"It’s been a pleasure playing here," he added. "I’m looking forward to the final games of the season.
"I knew it would be difficult from the beginning, it has been, everything is new and I’ve had to adapt to a lot of new things, a lot of new people. It’s been a fun time."
