'If I've had a bad game, it gets to me'
Kyle Walker made more appearances for Andre Villas-Boas' team than any other player this season.
The England full-back played 50 times and took some time out to talk to tottenhamhotspur.com about the pressure he puts on himself to play to the best of his abilities.
After cementing his first team spot with superb displays in the 2011/2012 season, Kyle expects nothing but first class performances when he steps onto the pitch.
"I set myself high standards last season and I'm pleased I did, but once you set those standards, if you then fall below them people start to get on your back a little. But I’m the first to have a word with myself and say I 'could do better'," Kyle told Spurs TV in an exclusive interview.
"I’ve played 100 games in two seasons - that's a lot of games - and it took a while to get in the team. I was patient, got my chance last season and I have to keep doing the things that got me a chance in the first place. I want to win things here.
"If I’ve had a bad game, I’m straight home and it gets to me. I shouldn’t let that happen but I’m passionate and want to win things. I want to play to the best of my ability and anything below means that I’m not happy."
