I wanted to celebrate with our fans - Christian

Mon 24 November 2014, 08:45|Tottenham Hotspur

Christian Eriksen was heading in one direction after his dramatic late winner at Hull.

“I wanted to celebrate with our fans and all my team-mates went there as well. They were behind us, you could hear them all the way. It’s crazy anyway how many fans were there. It’s always nice to have so many fans.”

The Danish playmaker was instrumental as we turned around a 1-0 deficit to secure a 2-1 victory in the Premier League at the KC Stadium on Sunday.

Jake Livermore fired Hull ahead in the first half and both teams had chances, Hugo Lloris made two fine saves while Allan McGregor denied Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado and Harry Kane.

Gaston Ramirez was sent off five minutes into the second half and we dominated from there.

Harry followed up after Christian hit the post from a free-kick on the hour and after seeing Harry, Roberto and Erik miss good chances and McGregor save from Ryan Mason, Christian struck the winner from 25 yards with 89 minutes on the clock.

“Even in the last few minutes of the first half we showed we could be dangerous and we got better and better in the second half,” added Christian.

“It was a tough game and this will give us a lot of confidence for the next games.”
