Improvement is the key word for Mauricio Pochettino as the team prepares to face Hull City today (Sunday, November 23, 4pm).
Back together at the end of the week after the international break, there is certainly a determination in the squad to bounce back from the home defeat against Stoke last time out.
“A lot of players went with their national teams and that was difficult but the players who stayed here trained well,” said Mauricio.
“Now we expect a tough game at Hull. They are a strong team but the most important thing is how we are.
“In the games we’ve lost we’ve made mistakes and we know we need to improve in our game and our style, to play better and to be stronger.”
Hull boss Steve Bruce was critical of his team after the Tigers lost against Burnley last time out.
“This is football and in football, when you lose, you get criticised,” added Mauricio. “We are strong and I feel my responsibility to improve the team and to find the solutions.
“We need to do better than we did against Stoke and to try to get the three points.”
