Hugo Lloris is determined to follow up Wednesday night's win against Fulham at Sunderland on Saturday.
The French goalkeeper certainly played his part with three world-class saves as we turned around a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1 at the Cottage thanks to fantastic strikes from Vlad Chiriches and Lewis Holtby.
Now we travel to the Stadium of Light for a 5.30pm kick-off in the Premier League to face a Black Cats team showings signs of recovery under the guidance of a man we know well at Spurs, Gus Poyet.
Gus, who played 98 times for us between 2001-04 and was later assistant coach, took over from Paulo Di Canio in October, and has since taken his team to wins against rivals Newcastle and Manchester City.
They performed well again in a 4-3 loss against Chelsea on Wednesday.
"Sunderland is a team that is improving and they've shown that in the last games," said Hugo.
"It's very important to get the three points to confirm our good result against Fulham.
"That was a tough game against another good team, but we scored two amazing goals and that was important for our confidence.
"Every game is a fight and when you play it is never easy because teams give everything.
"If you don't have control of the game it will be hard so we'll try to keep possession of the ball and score goals.
"It has been a good response after City - we need to keep going and have a great December."
