Hugo Lloris admitted the team was taken aback by the first half performance against Manchester United but said it was vital to ‘keep our heads high’ with nine matches remaining in the Premier League.
We simply didn’t get going from the start at Old Trafford and found ourselves 3-0 down inside 35 minutes.
That’s how it stayed as we suffered just a third loss in our last 15 league matches.
“It’s not a game that we expected,” said Hugo, who captained the team and remains ever-present this season in the Premier League. “We didn’t see the Tottenham of this season and we can have regrets after this game because it was an opportunity for us.
“Now we need to keep working and keep our heads high because with nine games left, a lot could happen. We need to be ready and try to win as many games as possible.”
Hugo said it was important to look back at the events at Old Trafford before looking ahead to our next game against Leicester City at the Lane on Saturday.
“You cannot close your eyes to the first half, you need to have feedback from everyone to see what happened,” he added.
“But we need to stay positive and the players are already thinking about the next game.”
