Hugo reflects on Palace draw

Hugo Lloris conceded 'we couldn't find a solution' against an impressive Palace side as it finished goalless at the Lane on Saturday.

Roberto Soldado, Paulinho and Christian Eriksen all went close but Palace created the better chances and Hugo needed to be at his best to keep out Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon, who also hit the crossbar.

“It was a tough game and we expected that,” said Hugo.

“Crystal Palace were strong but we couldn’t find a solution, we didn’t create space and we were a bit slow with the ball.

“We felt that the game could turn quickly but in the end it’s a draw and we have to keep believing and keep working.

“If you want to be positive maybe two months ago we would have lost this game. I think we are still improving and I’m sure we will do much better in the second half of the season.

“This month is important and we have to stick at the top end of the table. We need to believe and we know now the Swansea game (Sunday, December 14) is important for us.”
