Hugo ready for Holland test

Wed 05 March 2014, 11:17|Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris reckons tonight’s friendly against Holland is an ideal test for France ahead of their World Cup campaign.

Our 27-year-old stopper is with the French squad this week as they prepare to host the Dutch national side at the Stade de France.

Honduras, Switzerland and Ecuador will provide the opposition for France in Group E at this summer’s showpiece tournament.

And Hugo, who captains his country, believes a positive result tonight will give his nation a huge confidence boost ahead of the big one in Brazil.

"It’s not always easy to play an international game in this kind of period but we have to be professional,” said Hugo, who will re-join our squad after the game ahead of Saturday’s huge Premier League clash with Chelsea.

“It’s always a pleasure to play for your national team.

“Tonight we’re going to try to get a good result for our fans and for our confidence in preparation for the World Cup.”
