Hugo on comeback trail

02 September 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris feels like he’s having a fresh pre-season as he continues on the road to recovery.

Our popular goalkeeper and skipper limped off with a hamstring injury during the first half of our 1-1 draw with Everton on the opening day and has been working hard to return to fitness ever since.

Speaking to us at Hotspur Way, the French international offered us an exclusive update on his progress.

“I feel very good,” he smiled. “I need to go step-by-step but my feeling is great. I have been working properly since day one with the physios, with the doctor, the fitness coach and it’s always important to feel the support of the medical staff.

“I’m working hard to get back fit and it’s like a new pre-season for me but it’s good. This week is important because unfortunately I couldn’t go to the national team so it gives me one more week to prepare myself to be fit hopefully for next week.”

Hugo also gave us his reaction to the signing of his French international team-mate Moussa Sissoko.
