Hugo Lloris is already targeting a positive result at Sunderland as he hooks up with France again this week.
The goalkeeper - proud skipper of the France national team - was naturally disappointed to lose 3-0 at home to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
He’s now fully focused on national duty as Les Blues take on Spain and Serbia in friendlies on Thursday and Sunday respectively - and he’s determined to get back to winning ways at the Stadium of Light on Saturday week, September 13.
“When you concede a goal after nine minutes it starts to be difficult,” reflected Hugo, referring to Liverpool’s opening goal.
We had chances at 1-0 but Steven Gerrard made it 2-0 from the spot three minutes into the second half before Alberto Moreno struck the third on the hour.
“We now have to learn from this game. It’s just the beginning of the season, our third game, and we know that we are in a good way but we have to keep going, keep working and keep the right spirit.
“Now we have an international week so we’re going to think about our national teams and after that we will come back and be focused on the Sunderland game, which will be very important for us to bounce back as a team.”
