Hugo impressed with in-form Ade

Hugo Lloris is impressed with Emmanuel Adebayor's all-round performances – with or without the goals.

The striker was in fine form again with a double to sink Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

After early pressure from the home side, Ade headed home Christian Eriksen's cross for the key opening goal on 35 minutes and then secured the points with the third from Danny Rose's pass on 71 minutes. In-between, Chico Flores turned Kyle Walker’s cross into his own net for 2-0.

The Togo international has five goals in his last six Premier League outings – as we’ve won five and drawn six.

“Take away the fact that he scored the goals, he worked a lot of the team,” said Hugo, forced into a couple of fine early saves at Swansea.

“He made a lot of runs and created a lot of space around him.

“Sometimes when you are struggling in a game he’s a good target, he can keep the ball and help the team to play higher up the pitch.

“He’s a top player and a decisive player.”
