Hugo impressed with game management

Hugo Lloris could see the determination in the players’ eyes ahead kick-off against Bournemouth.
“My feeling in the changing room after the warm-up was very positive,” said the skipper. “We wanted to start the game aggressively.”
We did just that. Harry Kane opened the scoring after 44 seconds, doubled the lead on 16 minutes and Christian Eriksen completed a convincing performance with the third early in the second.
“It helped to score quickly and the important thing was after that we didn’t stop making the effort or making the runs and we kept the ball,” added Hugo.
“We understand perfectly the philosophy of the gaffer and the coaching staff and it was a great performance. We can all go away with our national teams with a good feeling. We will then be back fresh for the final sprint.”
Hugo didn’t have a shot to save as efforts at goal ended 17-2 in our favour and that defensive control was a particular highlight for the goalkeeper.
“I think we managed the game in the way we wanted from the beginning until the end,” he said. “We had good control. We didn’t start the second half as we wanted but we scored quickly and that killed the game.”
