Hugo Lloris praised the mentality of the players after Saturday’s win over Burnley.
Goals from Harry Kane and Erik Lamela proved sufficient as we triumphed 2-1 at White Hart Lane to keep up the pressure on the sides in the European qualifying places.
Ashley Barnes hit back for the visitors with a long-range curler shortly after Harry’s goal – and it was our response to that which particularly pleased goalkeeper Hugo.
“It was a tough game,” he said. “As we have seen since the beginning of the season, teams come to White Hart Lane and fight, stay strong at the back and take their chances.
“Burnley played some direct balls but the positive thing for us is that we kept our fighting spirit. We have the right character and this is why we won today – because we kept our heads high.
“Even when Burnley equalised, we stayed in the game.
“At the end of the day, we are in the Premier League and there are a lot of talented players, a lot of really good teams and every game is a big fight. That was the case again today.”
