Hugo Lloris reserved the highest praise for Brad Friedel, who finally drew the curtain on his playing career at the end of the season.
After over 20 years as a professional, Brad, who turned 44 on May 24, called it day after spending the final four years of his career here at Spurs.
During that time he managed to stretch his all-time consecutive appearance record in the Premier League to 310 matches and gave Hugo a run for his money for the number one spot.
Brad will now hook up with Fox Sports and becomes a Club Ambassador back in the US.
“It’s how to find the right words for Brad,” said Hugo. “It’s been unbelievable what he’s done in football. He’s 44-years-old, still fit and has shown it every day.
“That’s proof of his professionalism and his passion.
“He was really important for the club and for the team and I wish him the best for the future because he deserves that.
“He’s enjoyed his time at Spurs and he’s a great man, I’m sure he will have a great future in his new profession.”
