Hugo Lloris praised the team’s work ethic after Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Everton.
First half goals from Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado cancelled out Kevin Mirallas’ spectacular opener for the visitors as we made it three wins on the bounce in all competitions.
We saw out the second half efficiently, in spite of Everton having 61.5 per cent of the overall possession, with goalkeeper Hugo impressed with our energetic, pressing performance.
“It’s a great feeling for us because we did the hard work on the pitch all together as a team,” said the 27-year-old, who captained the side at White Hart Lane.
“It’s not easy to keep possession of the ball during the whole game and today we stayed strong, compact, and we didn’t give any opportunity for our opponents to play behind our backs using the space.
“We were strong and we showed a big improvement in the game, but now we have to keep to this level and stay consistent until the end of the season.”
