Chris Hughton's regular assessment of our forthcoming opponents - next up, Arsenal at the Lane on Saturday.ANY TEAM would miss the qualities Thierry Henry possessed, but I think responsibility spreads around the team that little bit more and it gives other players room to flourish and in the likes of Emmanuel Adebayour and Robin Van Persie, Arsenal have those players. They both have very big futures.
Eduardo De Silva has come in having scored lots of goals for Dynamo Zagreb Croatia and they will always be a threat up front.
Arguably their most consistent player over the last couple of seasons has been Kolo Toure at the back. Phillippe Senderos is suspended, so I’d expect Gilberto to partner him.
Bakari Sagna has come in at right-back, Emmanuel Eboue is also there and Gael Clichy has fitted into the Ashley Cole role without people noticing.
In midfield, Cesc Fabregas gets better and better and then it’s about who plays in midfield with him if Gilberto drops back into defence. They have options in Mathieu Flamini, who has had a lot of involvement, Vassiriki Diaby, Lassana Diarra, who they signed from Chelsea and Denilson, who they tend to favour in wider positions. On the wide positions they have Tomas Rosicky, Aleksandr Hleb, Theo Walcott, so they have good options.
We go into this game with the excitement of wanting and trying to win it. There is a big feel to it and there would be nothing better than to give the supporters something to shout about on Saturday.
