Hughton's notes

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Chris Hughton's regular assessment of our forthcoming opponents - next up, West Brom...

WEST BROM are certainly the form team of those at the bottom of the table both in terms of points and performance. They are playing very well and we began to see that in our FA Cup games against them.

On most occasions they've played a 4-4-2 system - they have varied it to a 4-5-1 once - and that's because of the confidence they have in the players and that system. Generally Zoltan Gera, who has had a wonderful season, will be on the right-hand side and Jonathan Greening, who is suspended, on the left.

Kevin Campbell has done a great job for them since his move from Everton and if it's a good end of season for West Brom I've no doubts they'll look at him up front and think that's one of their best acquisitions of the season.

West Brom have always been a hard-working side with a good team ethic. They've had that for a few seasons now and it was certainly the case when Gary Megson was there. Having said that, their passing game is as good as it has been for a long time and the two wide players have a lot to do with that. They've been solid in the middle of the park with Ronnie Wallwork playing well, Paul Robinson has done well at full-back and made an important contribution in their last game (a late equaliser against Villa) and I think Neil Clement has made great progress as a player. So they have players playing well at the moment but that will always come within a team ethic.

Of course, Bryan Robson has also done well to get the best out of them.
