Hughton on Pompey challenge
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Chris Hughton says it will be nice to see Teddy Sheringham and Tim Sherwood again on Boxing Day - but that is as far as the festive goodwill will extend.
Both players left for opponents Portsmouth - Tim in January and Teddy in the summer - after after making 119 and 282 (two spells) appearances for the club respectively.
"In many respects it will be nice to see Tim and Teddy, both of them did well for us while they were here," said Chris, looking ahead to the clash.
"I think that is where it stops. With regards to them wanting to do well against us, there is always a little bit of that but their main concerns and efforts will go into trying to win a football match that they need to win."
After a promising Premiership baptism, Pompey are now without a win in six. Chris suspects that the rigours of the top flight and injuries have temporarily hampered their progress.
"I think they are now finding out what a difficult league it is. They were fortunate enough - testament to the players - to get off to a very good start, but I think they have been hindered by injuries in the last three or four weeks. They are now, as a consequence of that, having a difficult period.
"With the league the way it is at the moment they are very capable of turning it around and picking up results again. Harry Redknapp has bought in players who have got a pedigree and that experience will be an asset to them.
"We are also having a difficult run and need to turn it around. The first opportunity to do that is on Boxing Day."
