Hotspur Hero ahead of his time
24 February 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
The Hotspur Hero initiative launched last year has provided us a great way to recognise those who go the extra mile in their support of the Club, often in the face of adversity.
It was a pleasure to honour Brian Judson this week who, as the man behind the ‘Spurs List’, the first of the many online fans forums that now exist, has been a trailblazer in bringing supporters closer together in their love of the Club via the internet, no matter where they are in the world.
Sadly, Brian’s illness means he is no longer able to attend matches, where we would normally honour our Hotspur Heroes, so it was a fitting tribute for Ledley King, a hero in Brian’s eyes, to visit him at his care home in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire, to make the presentation.
A special mention to Greg Tanner, Brian’s long-term friend, for making us aware of the story of our latest Hotspur Hero and helping make the arrangements for Ledley to pay his visit.
