Home sweet home for Andre

Andre Villas-Boas points to our improved home form since our win at Old Trafford in September as a key factor as we prepare to face United again on Sunday.

We’ve only lost twice in 15 matches in all competitions at the Lane this season but more notably, we’ve won seven of our last eight, drawing against Stoke, since our last loss against Wigan in November.

United arrive in N17 on a formidable run of form – nine wins in their last 10 matches to sit seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.

One of their three defeats in the Premier League was our 3-2 success at Old Trafford and Sunday is a potential cracker between two in-form teams as we go into the game on a run of seven wins in 10.

“What we’ve changed from the time we played United is that we have improved our form at home.,” said Andre. “That is something United will recognise.

“White Hart Lane is never an easy place to come to. We’re also on a great run of results and we will create big difficulties to United if we approach the game in the right manner.

“They’ve been on an amazing run since our win at Old Trafford. We now play them when they are at their strongest and confident about their game with the return of important players like Vidic and Rooney. They come here at their maximum strength.

“If we start well, if we’re focused on the task, with the players we have we can achieve a result.”
