Home form key to ladies start

23 July 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies will hope it’s a case of ‘home sweet home’ at the start of next season.

The fixtures for the FA Women’s Premier League South campaign have been announced and the team will play four of their first five matches at their new home at Cheshunt FC.

A club-high fifth last term, Spurs kick-off against QPR on Sunday, August 16 before facing newcomers C&K Basildon on August 23.

After a trip to Lewes on September 6, the ladies face back-to-back home matches at Theobalds Lane against Charlton on Wednesday, September 9 (7.45pm) and Forest Green in September 13.

“We made a really good start last season and that laid the foundations for what turned out to be a fantastic campaign,” said manager, Karen Hills.

“The players are all excited about playing at Cheshunt and if we can get another good start from those home matches I’m sure the confidence will be there again.”

Pre-season has started promisingly for the team with friendly victories against London Bees and Gillingham and they next face Norwich at New River Stadium on Sunday (11am).
