Holland's Notes

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our Under-18s coach Pat Holland gives us his assessment of the task ahead in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Friday night.

Here are his thoughts...

I'VE been really impressed with Ipswich. They are a good footballing side, no real weaknesses, they work for each other and have a good team spirit.

I watched them beat Aston Villa at Portman Road and they then went to Colchester and won 5-0. It will be a tough game.

They line-up in a 4-4-2 system and have players capable of making good movement, both wide players can come in off the touchline and the strikers are very lively. They are two smaller strikers and they have a great work ethic. The midfield is also capable of getting forward so we're going to have to work as a team and work hard.

It's a different game now we're over two legs. What we can't do is go to Portman Road on Friday and lose by a convincing scoreline. If we can get a draw or even sneak a win that would be brilliant to take back to Spurs but we can't lose heavily, that's important.

It's a different concentration, a different mentality and the lads have to apply themselves and do a job on the night.

We've always tried to play attacking football in every game this season, It's not always possible but the thing I'm looking forward to is both sides will try to play attacking football and that will be great for the crowd.
