Helen at Hotspur Way

Last week we brought you news of a Spurs fan amongst the New Year’s Honours List with GB hockey legend and Olympic gold medallist Helen Richardson-Walsh rewarded for her services to the sport.

Mauricio Pochettino was keen to meet her and invited Helen to Hotspur Way this week to watch the team train and speak to her about her recent success.

Helen played a key role in one of last year’s most memorable sporting moments as the GB women’s hockey team claimed gold in Rio in dramatic circumstances via a penalty-shootout against Holland.

Following her visit to Hotspur Way, she said: “It was great to meet Mauricio and his staff to understand more about their philosophy. He is someone I have a huge amount of respect for and, as a lifelong Spurs fan, it’s an experience I’ll never forget.”
