Hat-trick hero Saha puts Ledley first

Tue 13 May 2014, 13:10|Tottenham Hotspur

Louis Saha refused to pick a favourite goal from his hat-trick in Ledley King’s Testimonial – insisting the night was all about one man.

The former Manchester United forward was one of a host of ex-Spurs players who turned out for the Ledley Guest XI against Spurs as we celebrated the career of the legendary defender at White Hart Lane on Monday night.

After going on as a half-time substitute, Louis helped himself to three goals – completing his treble with the last kick of the game in front of a packed crowd.

When asked which of his explosive trio was his best, the 35-year-old politely replied: “Every goal is special but it’s all about Ledley tonight.

“I love scoring goals but I’ve also loved the chance to be part of such a special night for Ledley.

“It’s always great to come back to the ground and see some former team-mates as well as the legends like David Ginola and Teddy Sheringham.

“It’s been an amazing night and the reception for Ledley was just amazing. I think it’s deserved for what he’s done for the Club.”
