Harry's Tour de Force!

Thu 31 July 2014, 16:14|Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane was in a positive frame of mind after our Tour of North America.

A tough training schedule was mixed up with a trio testing friendlies against MLS teams Seattle Sounders, Toronto FC and Chicago Fire.

Mauricio Pochettino declared himself happy after a 3-3 draw against in-form Sounders and wins against Toronto (3-2) and Chicago (2-0) and striker Harry, who bagged his first goal of pre-season against Fire on Saturday, agreed with our new Head Coach.

“We’ve had three tough games against three good teams and I think we’ve played well,” he said.

“We were always going to be behind physically against the MLS teams but we adapted well.

“We’ve been getting used to a new style of play, getting fit and we’re all ready to go.

“We’ve two more friendlies to look forward to and I’m sure the start of the season will be here before we know it!”

Our next match takes us to Helsinki in Finland and an intriguing clash against Scottish Premier League champions Celtic on Saturday.

We then have a high-profile home friendly against German giants FC Schalke at the Lane on Saturday week, August 9 before the big one, our Premier League opener at West Ham on Saturday, August 16.
