My first 12 months at the Club have gone so quickly and I've loved it. The players have been great and it couldn't have gone better really. We had an excellent season last season from where we were and we've made a really positive start this time around. ‬‪

The Club's ambition is there for all to see - work has started on the new training ground, plans for a new stadium. It's a big club and I'm very proud to be here as Manager.

You always get disappointed when you get beat, particularly after we had dominated the game against Stoke on Saturday. We battered away at the door but that's how it goes sometimes. It just wouldn't go in.‬‪ ‬‪

One bad result doesn't make you a bad team and one good result doesn't make you a good team. It's about what you do over the course of a season.‬‪ ‬‪

We have to pick ourselves up and come again. We have to look to the rest of the week now starting with tonight's game followed by a trip to Arsenal at the weekend. We will travel to the Emirates and have a go at them. They are a good team but we can certainly cause them problems and I am sure it will be a great game.‬‪ ‬‪

This evening we welcome David Moyes and his Everton side to White Hart Lane. David has done a remarkable job at Goodison Park.

There is no such thing as an easy game against Everton - they are always strong opposition. ‬‪ ‬‪They may have started slowly this season but they did the same last season as well and came good.

They have recently enjoyed a run of seven games unbeaten, prior to Sunday's 3-2 defeat at Bolton, and we all know they will get stronger and stronger as the season goes on like they always do. ‬‪ ‬‪

It will be a good cup-tie tonight and a tough game for sure. This will be Everton's third game in six days but they have a good squad and they will be strong whoever they play tonight. ‬‪ ‬‪

Harry's notes

I sat next to David at Sir Bobby Robson's Memorial Service in Durham last month and we went back in the same car together. We were chatting away and he wants to do well in the League Cup. He sees it as a competition that they might have a realistic chance of winning.‬‪ ‬‪

We all face problems with fixture congestion at some time but whatever David decides to do I am sure it will be in the best interests of his team.‬‪ ‬‪

Like us, Everton will field a good team. I will make changes because I've got lads who need to play. I've done it in every round so far. We have players missing through injury and suspension but that is when you need your squad. ‬‪ ‬‪

The league is obviously important to us but we are not in Europe this year so we have got to have a go in both the League Cup and the FA Cup.‬‪ ‬‪

Have a good evening.‬‬
