Harry's praise for new boys

Harry Redknapp has paid tribute to our summer arrivals Brad Friedel, Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Harry Redknapp has paid tribute to the performances and impact of our summer arrivals Brad Friedel, Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Brad has taken the goalkeeper's shirt in the Premier League and been in fine form in his first six matches for us.

Emmanuel arrived on loan from Manchester City in he final week of August and clicked straight into gear with a goal on his debut at Wolves, two in the 4-0 victory over Liverpool and then assists in the wins against Wigan and Arsenal.

Scott joined us on transfer deadline day and has been an instant hit in midfield.

Both Emmanuel and Scott have a 100 per cent record with us so far in the Premier League with four wins out of four - next up, a tough trip to Newcastle on Sunday.

"Scott was a big signing, I had no doubts about his ability and what he could bring to this football club and he’s been every bit as good as I expected him to be," said Harry.

"In the next few years I think he will be massive for Tottenham.

"The fans absolutely have taken to him because of the way he plays the game, he’s a great guy to have around the place, he’s a fantastic professional, and he’s top class.

"Manu is a player with great ability. He’s brought so much to the team. He’s played four games, we’ve won four games and it’s no coincidence, he’s had that impact, and with Scott he’s made a big difference to the team.

"Brad, again, he’s a fantastic professional, his record of consecutive games in the Barclays Premier League has been amazing.

"He was a big signing for us, but it was difficult because I’ve got two other great goalkeepers here. Gomes is a fantastic goalkeeper and Carlo Cudicini as well.

"So it was a difficult one, but I just thought, I need three goalkeepers and Brad was available and he’s come in to the team and he’s been magnificent.

"Even in the couple of defeats that we had early on, I thought his performances were top class. He’s a top professional and a fantastic guy."
