Harry Kane spoke of his respect for returning club captain Michael Dawson after Saturday’s win at Stoke.
Daws enjoyed a solid outing at centre-half on his first outing since recovering from a hamstring problem – and Harry for one was thrilled to have him back.
“Michael is a top professional and he showed that on Saturday,” said the young forward.
“He was different class at the back and of course he played his part as we got the clean sheet, which was great.
“It was a tough game - it always is when you’re away to Stoke - and they’ve got some good scalps on their ground this season.
“But sometimes you’ve got to dig in and we did that on Saturday. We’re very pleased to get the result.”
