Harry's inside track on Baggies' Berahino

Sat 20 September 2014, 10:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane knows all about the threat West Brom striker Saido Berahino will pose on Sunday, but is confident we can pick up all three points.

Harry played with West Brom’s leading striker for England Under-21s recently in Lithuania and Moldova with our front man setting up the Baggies’ striker in the latter fixture before scoring himself in a convincing victory.

“He’s a good player, he scores goals and is a good finisher,” said Harry. “I’m sure he’ll be a threat for them but we’ve got good players to deal with that and we’ll be looking for the three points on Sunday.

"Hopefully we can do that and put in a good performance.

“I’ll tell the other players anything I can about him that will help the team but we know what we’ll be up against and what to expect. We want to get three points on Sunday and take momentum into the game against Nottingham Forest next week too.”

We go into Sunday’s game off the back of a draw at Sunderland and a stalemate against Partizan in Belgrade where Harry’s early effort was the closest we came to breaking the deadlock. “We came away with a 0-0 - not what we wanted but we kept a clean sheet and we move on,” he said before describing the effort that hit the bar.

“I’m not sure if the keeper saved it on to the bar or if it just hit the bar - if that had gone in it would’ve been a good start but unfortunately it didn’t and 0-0 isn’t a bad result away from home.

“We wanted to come away with the win so we’re disappointed but a point is better than nothing so we dust ourselves down for West Brom which we’re looking forward to.”
