Harry Kane has grasped his Premier League chance with both hands – and he's determined to maintain his goal-den run until the end of the season.

The Academy graduate, 20, followed his first Premier League goal on his first start against Sunderland with strikes against West Brom and Fulham to make it three in three.

It’s been a waiting game for Harry, who made his Spurs debut back in August, 2011 and enjoyed loan spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester before opting to fight for his first team place this season, rather than go out on loan again.

He knows the pressure is on every time he steps out. “At any level, you have to score to stay in the team and I’ve been able to do that,” he said.

“There is always competition and players looking to take your spot. You have to take your chance and thankfully I’ve been able to score in every game so far and hopefully I’ll get a few more.

“I was delighted to make it three in three and let’s hope we’re talking about four in four at Stoke.”

Harry scored the second goal as we came back from 3-0 at West Brom and was pleased to bag another goal at a key stage against Fulham, glancing home a header from Aaron Lennon’s cross to restore our lead at 2-1 three minutes into the second half.

“We knew at half-time if we could get another goal we’d be able to push on and thankfully it came quickly in the second half,” he added. “It’s great to score important goals and that’s another.”
