Mauricio Pochettino has told Harry Kane to relish his first senior England call.

The in-form striker - 26 goals this season - has been selected by Roy Hodgson for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley on Friday week (March 27) and the friendly against Italy in Turin on Tuesday, March 31.

Harry is joined by team-mates Andros Townsend and Kyle Walker in the squad.

Mauricio earned the first of his 22 caps for Argentina against Holland back in 1999.

Asked how he felt, Mauricio said: “It’s a long time ago!

“It’s always an amazing feeling,” he added. “It’s a moment when you want to stop time and enjoy it. It’s a fantastic moment and my advice to Harry would be for him to enjoy it. Time goes so quickly, so enjoy it.

“We feel proud for Harry, so do all his team-mates and for the club it’s special because this is a player who has come through the Academy system.

“It’s big news and always special when you get first national team call. It’s great news for Andros and Kyle as well.”
